Artur , full name Artur Victor Guimarães , (born February 15, 1998 in Fortaleza ) is a Brazilian football player . He is used in the position of a left striker , alternatively also in the storm centrally or on the right. His strong foot is the left.

Artur was born in Fortaleza and lived in Teresina , the capital of Piauí , from the age of four to fourteen . At the age of 14 he came back to Fortaleza, where he attracted the attention of professional football clubs. At the age of 16 he moved to the Palmeiras youth academy in São Paulo . Already in his first year with the club Artur contested his first deployment in the top Brazilian professional league of Series A . Curiously, he only played three minutes on the last day of the season and was with this Brazilian champion with Palmeiras. Before that, he only sat one more season on the reserve bench without an appearance.

In order to gain more match practice, Artur was loaned to Grêmio Esportivo Novorizontino for the games in the São Paulo state championship in 2017 . After completing the competition, in which he came on five missions, the next loan deal joined. Artur came to the Londrina EC for the championship round . With this he entered the future in the B series . His first professional game for Londrina in the league on May 13, 2017, the first day of the championship. Artur was in the starting line-up for the game against SC Internacional . At the end of the 2017 championship , he had made 36 appearances in which he was always in the starting line-up. He scored eight goals. With eleven assists, he was the best of the season in the discipline. His first on the fifth day of the season, on June 6, 2017. Artur returned to Palmeiras for the 2018 season. In the state championship he was a reserve player six times without appearing until he sustained an ankle injury in February. Artur also played a subordinate role in the team in the championship. He contributed 113 minutes in five games to Palmeira's tenth title win in 2018 . He was in the starting line-up once, sat on the bench 18 times and was substituted on four times. However, he was thrown back in this competition due to an injury. In preparation for the semi-final second leg in the Copa do Brasil against Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte , Artur suffered a fractured forearm on September 24th .

The year 2019 started again with a loan deal for Artur. By the end of the year he came to Salvador to join league rivals EC Bahia . With the club Artur was able to win the state championship of Bahia . He scored one goal in seven games. At Bahia , Artur made his international club debut. In the first round of the Copa Sudamericana 2019 , his club faced Liverpool Montevideo at home on February 7, 2019 . Artur was in the starting line-up in the game. In the 2019 championship round, Artur scored his first goal with Bahia in the Série A. On the first day of the season, his club met Corinthians São Paulo at home on April 28 . In the game he scored the opening goal in the 76th minute to make it 2-1 (final score -3-2).

National team

In 2017 Artur was appointed to Brazil's U-20 team. With this he took part in the 2017 U-20 South American Football Championship . Here he played two missions. Artur played his first game on January 22nd, 2017 against the Paraguayan youth team . In the game he was substituted on for Felipe Vizeu in the 66th minute . Artur was in the starting line-up for his second mission against Colombia's U-20s .
