Arved Schultze

Arved Schultze (born November 16, 1973 in Hamburg ) is a German dramaturge and curator .

After studying theater studies , musicology and education in Berlin and Rome , Arved Schultze worked at various theaters and for festivals in German-speaking countries and South America. He worked u. a. with the directors collective Rimini Protokoll , with Christoph Marthaler ( Die Schöne Müllerin , Schauspielhaus Zürich 2002; Better not , Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz , Berlin 2003), Ruedi Häusermann ( topping-out ceremony , Hebbel am Ufer / Palast der Republik , Berlin 2004; Gang to the patent office , Hebbel am Ufer 2010, Wiener Festwochen 2011) and the architectural group Raumlabor Berlin . For the Festival Theater der Welt 2002 he was the dramaturge responsible for the in-house productions. For this he developed the project series X Apartments with Matthias Lilienthal , the first four versions of which he realized in Duisburg, Berlin and Caracas. From 2006 to 2009 Arved Schultze worked as a dramaturge at the Freiburg Theater under the direction of Barbara Mundel . With Raumlabor Berlin, he developed the city project Der Orbit for Freiburg .

Arved Schultze curated a. a. that of the German Federal Cultural Foundation initiated Kleist Festival for the 200th anniversary of the death of the poet Heinrich von Kleist at the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin in November 2011 or the festival a week in October. 25 peaceful revolution at the Dresden State Theater (October 2014).

Arved Schultze also worked as a dramaturge at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater Berlin and with the collective She She Pop at the Berlin HAU Hebbel am Ufer . Since 2018 he is u. a. worked as a dramaturge for the Alliance of International Production Houses.
