X apartments

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

X Apartments is a series of events that moves between a theatrical tour, concert and performance . It was conceived in 2002 by Matthias Lilienthal , the then artistic director of the Theater der Welt festival .

content

It is a site-specific performance that brings together several ten-minute performances, concerts and plays for two viewers in several private apartments in a city or a district. In one evening, several small groups of spectators are guided through seven apartments and thus gain an insight into otherwise unknown parts of the city and the lives of their residents. The interdisciplinary performances in the apartments deal with stories and topics of the place or its residents.
