John Bock
John Bock (* 1965 in Gribbohm , Schleswig-Holstein ) is a German action artist , filmmaker and author. He lives in Berlin.
life and work
Bock first studied business administration in Hamburg before completing a degree at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg until 1997 . His materials are everyday objects of all kinds such as felt slippers , eggshells or men's socks . Since the winter semester 2004/05 he has been teaching at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe as a professor of sculpture .
John Bock is known for his theatrical appearances and films. In 2020 he will not only be responsible for the stage design and costumes for the production of Peer Gynt at the Berlin Schaubühne , he will also be seen on the stage in a video recording as the Troll King.
