Schneider TM is an experimental solo project by Dirk Dresselhaus (* 1970 in Bielefeld , North Rhine-Westphalia ), which is dedicated to electrical and electronic music.

From 1988 to 1997 Dirk Dresselhaus played and sang in indie rock / noise rock and pop bands such as Locust Fudge , which were revived in 2004 and 2018, and Hip Young Things , after which he became more involved with electronic music from 1997 and that project Schneider TM launched, with whom he for some experimental electric Freakpop albums and indie hits like Reality check, Frogtoise, Pac Man / Shopping cart or a cover of There is a Light That Never Goes Out of the Smiths with the title The Light 3000, one of u. a. In May 2006 the LP Škoda Mluvit came on the market, on which the single Pac Man / Shopping Cart is included. The album Construction Sounds followed in 2012 . It is based on field recordings of construction work, recorded between 2001 and 2009 in Berlin . In 2013, the album Guitar Sounds was released on the Bureau B label . On the same label, the single “Bootleg” was released in 2015 as a cooperation with the band Automat ( Jochen Arbeit , Achim Färber, Georg Zeitblom ).

In addition to other work such as composition and production of music for films (May 1st, 66/67, In Der Überzahl, Teilhard, Remainder etc. with directors such as Ludwig & Glaser , Omer Fast etc.), theater (The Scorpionfish, Louis & Bebe with Joanna Dudley & Rufus Didwiszus) and radio plays (release, Hochhaus with Paul Plamper ), he has been playing regularly in noise improv bands & projects such as Angel for several years (together with Ilpo Väisänen from Pan Sonic & guests such as Hildur Guðnadóttir , Oren Ambarchi , BJ Nilsen or Lucio Capece ) and Real Time, a duo more oriented towards new music together with Reinhold Friedl from zeitkratzer . Furthermore, for some time now he has been playing regularly improvisation concerts on changing equipment such as electric guitar, electronics, balafon or with field recordings, sometimes solo and sometimes with Jochen Arbeit ( Einstürzende Neubauten , Automat), Günter Schickert , Damo Suzuki (ex- Can ), the Japanese dancer Tomoko Nakasato or video artists such as Lillevan, pani K and Takehito Koganezawa.

In 2007 Dirk Dresselhaus founded the (online) label MWM (MirrorWorldMusic) together with Michael Beckett.
