The Arventalspitze , also Affentalspitze or Alprechspitz or Albrechtsspitze , is 3083  m above sea level. A. high mountain peaks of the Prettaukamm in the Venediger group . The summit lies on the Italian-Austrian state border and was first climbed in 1854 by surveyor Hermann van Acken and surveyors.

The Arventalspitze lies on the border between the South Tyrolean municipality of Prettau in the west and the East Tyrolean municipality of St. Jakob in Defereggen ( Lienz district ) in the east. In relation to the Prettaukamm, the Arventalspitze lies in the southwest. To the north, the Arventalscharte ( 2917  m above sea level ) separates the Arventalspitze from the south-western summit of the Lenkspitze ( 3090  m above sea level ), south of the Arventalspitze is the northern summit of the Gabelspitze ( 3071  m above sea level ). The east side of the Arventalspitze drops down to the Arvental with the Arventalbach , the west side to the Ahrntal with the Ahr . The mountain flanks of the Arventalspitze are protected by the Hohe Tauern National Park and the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park .

Promotion opportunities

The normal route to the Arventalspitze starts at the Alpengasthaus Oberhaus and then runs first on the Almstraße to the Jagdhausalm and then to the Arventalalm. Below the Klammljoch , the pathless ascent begins over the east-facing grass and fine gravel slopes to the summit. Another way to walk on the Arventalspitze is the ridge transition from the fork tip, which takes place over the sharp, smooth-walled connecting ridge ( II ).
