Arwed Schlabitz

Arwed Benno Wilhelm Schlabitz (born May 27, 1841 in the Czech Republic ; † September 7, 1905 in Görlitz ) was a German farmer and politician.

Life

Arwed Schlabitz studied natural sciences from 1860 to 1864 at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . In 1862 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . From 1866 to 1878 he worked as a farmer, from 1870 as the owner of his father's property. He then lived as a privateer in Görlitz. In the Prussian Army he reached the rank of Rittmeister.

From 1889 to 1898 Schlabitz sat as a member of the constituency Liegnitz  8 ( Lauban , city and district of Görlitz ) in the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1892 to 1898 he was a member of the community commission. He was a member of the Free Conservative Party. He was also a city councilor in Görlitz for many years.
