The Stena Gothica is a RoPax ship of the Stena Line , which is used on the Travemünde - Liepaja route. At times she used to drive as a Stena Driver for Stena Line. The ship is around 171 meters long and 21 meters wide. It can carry 186 passengers and was built in 1982.

The ship was built for Delpa Maritime as a Lucky Rider and delivered in March 1982. In 1985 it was sold to Stena Line and operated as the Stena Driver . From 1985 it then operated as a Seafreight Freeway for Sealink British Ferries. In 1988 it went to SMAT and was operated as Serdica . In 1990 the ship was renamed Nordic Hunter and in 1990 Arka Marine . It's been called Ask since 1991 . The ship operated for DSB until 1997 , then for Scandlines A / S until 1998 and for Scandlines GmbH until 1999 . Until 2000, the ship drove for Euroseabridge . Until 2001 the ship drove again for Scandlines GmbH. The ship operated for Nordö Link until 2002 . In 2003 the ship operated temporarily for Scandlines GmbH, Scandlines Amber Line and until 2005 for Scandlines AB . Since 2005 the ship has been sailing for ISCOMAR and then again for Scandlines GmbH. Until January 3, 2009 the ship sailed on the Rostock - Ventspils route and then on the Nynäshamn - Ventspils route .
From mid-2012, the ship went back to Stena Line together with the sister ship Urd on the Travemünde – Liepaja route. In autumn 2015, the ship switched to the Gothenburg - Frederikshavn route and replaced the Stena Scanrail . The ship was given the new name Stena Gothica . Due to an accident at the Stena Jutlandica , Ask switched to this route on July 25th. On September 28, 2015, the ship was named Stena Gothica , the home port was Gothenburg. From November 26th to December 4th, 2015 the ship switched to the Kiel – Gothenburg route to temporarily replace the Stena Scandinavica .
