Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles is a 2008 published computer game from Ubisoft , developed by Gameloft . It belongs to the action adventure genre and was first released for the Nintendo DS in February 2008.

The main character in Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles is Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, a Grand Master of the Assassin Society . The story of the game is from the 12th century during the Third Crusade, in which the crusaders fight against the Saracens for control of the holy city of Jerusalem . The player has the task of stealing the holy chalice from the Templars , an artifact with a special power that can decide the outcome of the crusades. Later in the game it turns out that the chalice is Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's first great love.
