Andrushivka Astronomical Observatory
The Astronomical Observatory Andrushivka "July Morning" ( Ukrainian Андрушівська астрономічна обсерваторія "Липневий ранок» , IAU code A50) is located on 240 m height in Haltschyn at Andrushivka in the Ukrainian Oblast Zhytomyr .
The observatory was built between 1998 and 2001, the opening took place on April 12, 2001. The private observatory is headed by Jurij Iwaschtschenko ( Юрій Миколайович Іващенко , * 1961). She is a member of the Astronomical Association of Ukraine .
Furnishing
The observatory has a Zeiss -600 60 cm Cassegrain telescope . The mirror was made at the Odessa observatory , and an optical reduction corrector at the Arsenal plant in Kiev, based on drawings of the main observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine .
research
In May and June 2004, examinations of the cometary spectrum in the visible wavelength range were carried out here. On May 14th, the emission lines of C 2 , C 3 , CN, CH, NH 2 and H 2 O + were discovered and their intensities were determined.
The main direction of research in the observatory is the discovery of asteroids. By June 2018, the observatory had discovered over 120 asteroids , including:
