(269251) Kolomna is an asteroid of the main middle belt discovered on August 26, 2008 at the Andrushivka Astronomical Observatory ( IAU code A50) in Haltschyn , Ukraine . The asteroid had already been sighted on July 12 and 22, 1999 under the provisional designation 1999 ND 52 at the Lincoln Laboratory Experimental Test System in Socorro , New Mexico as part of the Lincoln Near Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) project.
The asteroid belongs in a broader sense to the Juno family, a group of asteroids named after (3) Juno . The timeless (not osculating ) orbital elements of (269,251) Kolomna are almost identical to those of 50 other asteroids, of which, if you own the absolute brightness goes out, (31220) 1998 BA 26 is the largest. There is a particularly close correspondence between the orbital data of (269251) Kolomna and the asteroid (413496) 2005 QQ 5 .
(269251) Kolomna was named after the Russian city of Kolomna on April 25, 2013 .
