content

A young boy is playing on a bridge in Montevideo with figures that look like mini-robots when the sky suddenly darkens and flying objects and huge, headless figures wrapped in fog appear. A driver stops his car because all of a sudden oversized figures are marching along the road. In downtown Montevideo, a woman films the headless, robotic, approaching creatures while a reporter speaks excitedly into the microphone. Without any warning, a jet of fire escapes from the giant arms of the strangers and destroys surrounding buildings, while countless objects in flight appear in the sky. The people are now finally panicking and trying to flee in all directions. Defense measures attempted by the military are ineffective. The situation is becoming more and more threatening as the flying objects now also intervene in the fight. Felix Vasquez wrote on the Cinema Crazed page that the short film was excellent, since the extraterrestrial threat to Alvarez was portrayed with a lot of effort and quite intensely. Photography and direction are flawless. For a budget of only $ 300, the special effects are absolutely incredible and comparable to the effects of the science fiction film Independence Day .

Also on the side Dain movie reviews , it was felt that it would be an amazing feat to shoot such a film with such a low budget.

With its intense realism and very well executed special effects, this short film is a great example of good action cinema. Even if you don't generally like this genre, this short film is worth watching, says the CinEuphoria website .
