Ateş (tr. For: "fire" ) is the eleventh studio album by Demet Akalın . It was released on April 18, 2019 by the DMC label and is named after the song of the same name.

background

After the last studio album was released under the title Rakipsiz , Akalın announced during a concert at the Bostancı Show Center in October 2018 that they were working on recordings for a new album. Later, the producer Samsun Demir announced via Twitter and Facebook that the album would be released in spring 2019. Demir and Akalın specified April 18, 2019 as the release date.

Promotion and publication

Akalın had Erman İştahali photograph him several times for the album. The graphic artist Ahmet Terzioğlu was responsible for the design of the cover. Content and musical structure

Ateş contains fifteen songs and has a total running time of 53 minutes and 19 seconds. During the creation of the album, Akalın worked with numerous producers and songwriters, including Sıla Gençoğlu , Tan Taşçı , Ayla Çelik , Hakkı Yalçın, Cansu Kurtçu and Murat Güneş. Sıla Gençoğlu, who works as a singer and songwriter herself, wrote the lyrics for Bizi Buluyor and, in addition to Efe Bahadır, also recorded the music.

Single releases

The lead single N'apıyorsan Yap and the accompanying music video was released on April 19, 2019. It was composed and written by Tan Taşçı. The director and photographer Nihat Odabaşı took over the shooting of the video. The second release was released on May 9th under the title Ağlar O Deli . The song was written and produced by Ayla Çelik and Serdar Aslan; Nihat Odabaşı directed the music video. The third single was the song Esiyor on June 26th, which was recorded and written by Ayla Çelik and Şebnem Sungur, Gökhan Tepe and Serdar Aslan. The video for the song was directed by Tamer Aydoğdu. The fourth and final single was released under the title Yekten on October 10th. Akalın sings in a duet with the singer Haktan . The lyrics are from Öze Bade Derinöz. Erhan Bayrak was responsible for the arrangement of the song; Tamer Aydoğdu took over the shooting.
