August Christian Ludwig von Puttkamer

August Christian Ludwig von Puttkamer (born October 13, 1750 in Köslin , † April 18, 1836 in Potsdam ) was a Prussian civil servant. He worked successively as district administrator , war and domain council and chief accountant .

He came from the Puttkamer family, which was originally from Pomerania . His father Christian Gneomar von Puttkamer (* 1706; † 1760) was a Prussian lieutenant colonel and commander of a grenadier battalion. His mother Eva Marie Henriette was a daughter of the Prussian Lieutenant General Ernst August de la Chevallerie von la Motte .

August Christian Ludwig von Puttkamer attended the Knight Academy in Brandenburg and began studying at the University of Königsberg in 1770 . However, he joined the Prussian Army in 1771 , where he served in a dragoon regiment for twelve years.

During the inheritance dispute after the death of his father in 1774 he received the goods Gloddow , Groß Nossin A and B, Jerskewitz C and Saviat . He sold these goods in 1780 to Michael Stanislaus von Zeromski from the noble Zeromski-Brochwicz family .

In 1784 Puttkamer was appointed as the successor to the farewell Nathanael Theodor von Paulitz as district administrator for the district of Kulm in West Prussia . 1793 he moved as war and Domänenrat to the War and Domain Chamber of Poznan , in the newly acquired province of South Prussia was formed; his successor as district administrator was August Burchard Raphael von Rosenberg-Gruszczynski . In 1802 Puttkamer became chief accountant at the upper arithmetic chamber in Berlin after several requests for transfer . He remained in this position until his retirement in 1825.

August Christian Ludwig von Puttkamer was a knight of the Order of St. John .

He was married to Eleonore Wilhelmine Caroline (* 1763; † 1809), daughter of Major Otto Albrecht von Ciesilska.
