Christian Gneomar von Puttkamer

Christian Gneomar von Puttkamer (* 1709 ; † November 12, 1760 ) was a Prussian lieutenant colonel and commander of a grenadier battalion.

Life

origin

He was a member of the Puttkamer noble family from the Pomerania . His parents were Zabel Christian von Puttkamer († before 1730), landowners in Nossin A together with Niemietzke , Jerskewitz A, C and D as well as in Damerkow , and Anna von Pirch adH Nippoglense .

Military career

Puttkamer joined the army in 1722 and advanced to the infantry regiment “v. Brüneck ” to lieutenant colonel and regimental commander. In the War of the Austrian Succession he fought at Chotusitz and Thrush , for which he, still standing with the rank of captain , received the Pour le Mérite . During the Seven Years' War he was wounded near Kolin . He was captured by Welmina . After his replacement, he commanded a grenadier battalion from 1756 to 1757, which was made up of associations of the regiments “v. Manteuffel ” and “ Fürst Moritz ”was composed. In the battle of Torgau he suffered severe wounds, to which he succumbed a few days later after 38 years of service.

During the inheritance dispute with his brother, he had already received Gloddow , Jerskewitz C, and Nossin B in 1731 , and was able to acquire Saviat in 1743 and Nossin A in 1746, which had previously been pledged.

family

In February 1747, Puttkamer married Eva Marie Henriette von La Motte de la Chevalerie , a daughter of the Prussian Lieutenant General Ernst August de la Chevallerie von la Motte (1688–1758) and Eva Marie Unterfasst. The marriage resulted in two sons and three daughters:
