Haibung ( Nepali हैबुङ ) is a Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Sindhupalchok district of Nepal .

At the 2011 census, the VDC Haibung had 2,484 inhabitants (1,174 male) in 576 households.

Haibung is located on a 2000  m high ridge 20 km northeast of Kathmandu . The Shivapuri-Nagarjun National Park extends to the west of Haibung . The main town is Chisapani . The Helambu Trek long-distance hiking trail leads past this. Chisapani offers a view of the mountain ranges of the Langtang region.
