August Schädler
August Schädler (born June 22, 1862 in Bergatreute ; † September 28, 1925 in Munich ) was a German sculptor .
Life
Schadler was the son of an innkeeper. He lived in Ratzenried since 1872 . From 1884 he studied sculpture at the Art Academy in Munich under Max Widmann and worked in Sigmaringen from 1887 ; there he was appointed Princely Hohenzoller court sculptor. Around 1905 he went to Karlsruhe, became a grand ducal court sculptor of Baden and from 1908 to 1910 also worked as an occasional employee for the majolica factory in Karlsruhe . In 1914 Schädler moved to Munich, where he died in 1925 after a long illness.
