Clemens-August "Augustin" Kramann (born February 11, 1950 in Hildesheim , Lower Saxony) is a German theater and film actor, director, speaker and radio host. Kramann is known as Ogysst through lectures of his own poems, also published in two volumes of poetry.

Life

Kramann grew up in Hildesheim as the fifth of six siblings of head physician Heinrich Kramann (St. Bernward Hospital) and his wife Annemarie. He spent most of his school days in boarding schools, but returned to Hildesheim in upper school and attended grammar school until he graduated from high school. His passion was acting early on, but initially he complied with his father's wish to complete a degree. He studied pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist and lecturer.

Escape from bourgeois life, Kramann joined an international theater group with appearances mostly in Spain. From 1979 to 1982 he took acting classes at the Theater de la Gonde, Paris. In 1995 he attended a Hollywood Acting Workshop in Los Angeles and studied directing and acting from 1998 to 2001 at the GITIS Acting Academy in Moscow. In addition to permanent engagements at the theater in Trier and Esslingen, Augustin Kramann took part in German films.

Although retired, Kramann continues to work as a radio presenter, designer of poetry evenings and as a film actor.
