Augustine Jun'ichi Nomura
Augustinus Jun'ichi Nomura ( Japanese ア ウ グ ス チ ノ 野村 純一 , Augusuchino Nomura Jun'ichi ; born November 20, 1937 in Kōchi , Kōchi Prefecture ) is a Japanese priest and emeritus bishop of Nagoya .
Life
Augustine Jun'ichi Nomura was ordained a priest on December 19, 1964 . Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Nagoya on April 5, 1993 .
The Archbishop of Nagasaki , Francis Xavier Kaname Shimamoto IdP , donated him episcopal ordination on July 4th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Paul Hisao Yasuda , Archbishop of Osaka , and Aloysius Nobuo Sōma , Former Bishop of Nagoya.
On March 29, 2015, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
