The Mysłowice-Brzęczkowice motorway junction ( Polish : Węzeł autostradowy Mysłowice-Brzęczkowice ) is located northeast of the Polish city of Mysłowice in the Silesian Voivodeship . It connects the Polish A4 motorway and the S1 expressway .
history
The construction of the junction took place in the years 1990–1991 together with the construction of the 18.7 km long section between the junction Mysłowice and Jaworzno -Byczyna of the A4. First the northern part of the node was opened, a year later the southern part. The junction was rebuilt from 2009 to 2010. Among other things, the road surface was replaced and the lanes used for driving up were extended. Until the Gliwice-Sośnica junction was built, this junction represented the central crossing point between the north-south route ( national road 1 / expressway S1) and the west-east route (A4 motorway).
Current status
The following directions are available:
- A4 motorway in a westerly direction to Katowice , Gliwice and Wroclaw
- A4 motorway east to Krakow
- Expressway S1 in north direction to Pyrzowice
- S1 expressway south to Tychy and Bielsko-Biała
