The Autocesta A12 ( Croatian for 'motorway A12') is a motorway under construction in Croatia since April 27, 2009 , which will lead from the Sveta Helena junction near Zagreb to the Gola border crossing on the Croatian-Hungarian border. The future fully developed motorway should start from Sv. Helena via Vrbovec , Križevci and Koprivnica to the Gola border crossing. The section from Sveta Helena to Križevci has already been completed as the D10 expressway .

The fully developed motorway is intended to be the shortest connection between Zagreb and the Podravina expressway (Croatian: Podravska magistrala ), which is currently being developed, and provide better transport connections to Hungary. It should also contribute to the economic development of this area not far from Zagreb. Together with the A13 motorway , the A12 would form the so-called " Podravina - Bilogorje Ypsilon". The construction work on both motorways was canceled in June 2012, the "Ypsilon" is to be completed in the form of expressways instead of motorways.

For travelers from Zagreb, at the Sveta Helena junction on the Zagreb motorway bypass, the paths to the A4 motorway to Varaždin or the A12 to Koprivnica separate. At Vrbovec 2 there is a junction to the future A13 to Virovitica . The logical continuation from the Gola border crossing would lead in Hungary via Nagyatád to Kaposvár to the planned M9 motorway .
