Overall length: 106 km

County :

It is planned to bypass the urban area of Zagreb with a new, approx. 106 km long motorway ring. The ring highway is to branch off from the A2 coming from the west , cross the A3 , A1 and the A11 and merge into the A4 in the east . It should relieve today's motorway ring, as the traffic on this will continue to increase in view of the rapid development. An average of around 55,000 cars drive there every day. According to calculations, the new motorway ring will accommodate up to 20,000 cars a day.

In December 2010 the ring road was divided into three sections: Pojatno - Horvati , Horvati - Ivanić Grad and Ivanić Grad - Zelina . For 2011, the largest motorway operator HAC invested HRK 7.6 million (~ 1 million euros ) in the planning of the 106 km long motorway section. Another HRK 10 million was invested in 2012. From 2013 to 2016 [obsolete] HRK 34 million were reserved for the preparation of the planning documents.

Funding plays an important role. The Croatian government plans to complete the motorway ring by 2018 [obsolete] with the help of EU funds .
