The Autostrada Peja-Prizren ( Albanian for motorway Peja-Prizren ) is a 65 kilometer long motorway in Kosovo that is being planned. It should connect the Čakorpass on the border with Montenegro via the cities of Peja and Gjakova with Prizren . It is intended to significantly shorten north-south traffic in western Kosovo. The planned motorway has no official signage yet. Construction work is scheduled to begin in 2019.
Routing
The motorway is to run from the border with Montenegro to Prizren. It leads from the Čakorpass in Prokletije through the Rugova Gorge , initially to the east. The Dukagjin tunnel is planned in the mountains .
From Peja the road runs south-east towards Prizren and passes the town of Gjakova.
