Autumn de Wilde

Autumn de Wilde (born October 21, 1970 in Woodstock , New York , United States ) is an American photographer and director. She is known for her work with musicians in the field of portrait and advertising photography as well as her cinematic work, especially music videos and advertising films but since Emma also for the cinema. She works with the American production company Anonymous Content .

Life

Autumn de Wilde's father, the photographer Jerry de Wilde (* 1938), married her mother Mary in 1969 in Los Angeles. He has worked at the Monterey Pop Festival , in advertising with Tony Scott , Ridley Scott , Vilmos Zsigmond , and Allen Daviau for Chrysler , Dr Pepper Company , The Coca-Cola Company and others . IBM . It was from him that Autumn de Wilde learned photography. She worked as a commercial photographer, among others for the American fashion brand Rodarte, as a director for music videos and as a photographer for various musicians. She published several volumes with photographs of musicians, e.g. B. by The White Stripes , Beck and Elliott Smith . She also designed various covers for their albums. Her film Emma, ​​based on the novel by Jane Austen, was released in February 2020 , her first full-length directing work.

Autumn de Wilde was married to the drummer Aaron Sperske. Their daughter Arrow de Wilde is the singer of the US-American band Starcrawler from Los Angeles.
