Axel Pons

Axel Pons Ramón (born April 9, 1991 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish motorcycle racer . He is the son of two-time motorcycle world champion of the 250 cc class Sito Pons and the older brother of the active Moto2 -WM pilots Edgar Pons , who in 2020 for Federal Oil Gresini compete.

Career

Pons made his debut in the motorcycle world championship in 2008 in the 125 cc class for the Jack & Jones WRB team .

From 2009 to 2017 he competed in the second highest class, the 250 cm³ or Moto2 category; five years in his father's team, three with AGR and one with RW Racing . His best results were two seventh places, his best overall position was 16th overall in the 2016 season .
