Azafenidin is a white solid that is practically insoluble in water. It photolyzes rapidly in aqueous solutions.
use
Azafenidin is used as a selective pre- and post-emergence herbicide against broad-leaved weeds and grasses. The effect is based on the inhibition of protoporphyrinogen oxidase .
Admission
An application for inclusion in Annex I of Directive 91/414 / EEC was submitted by DuPont in 1997 , but this was rejected on December 4, 2002. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, no pesticides with this active ingredient are permitted.
