The B9 is a first-order main road in Cyprus . It connects the capital Nicosia with Troodos in the Troodos Mountains over a distance of about 80 km.

course

The B9 begins in the southwest of Nicosia, a little south of the B18 . There it has already been expanded to four lanes and at the level of the connection to the B22 it merges into the Autobahn 9 , which replaces the B9 for the following kilometers. Only outside the city, west of the closed Nicosia Airport , does the B9 continue at an exit of the motorway on the B10 . From here it continues west through the places Kokkinotrimithia and Akaki . Further parallel along the buffer zone to the northern part of the island , the road leads west until it swings south into the Troodos Mountains in the middle of the island. From the places Galata and Kakopetria the number of curves increases and the B9 leads deeper into the mountains. It crosses the border with Limassol district and ends in Troodos on the B8 near Olympos , the highest mountain on the island.
