The steam locomotive series kkStB 106 was a fast - Tender Lokomotiv series of kk Austrian National Railways (kkStB) and the Südbahn .
history
Although they were very satisfied with the 6 series , they decided to make small improvements. The resulting 106 series had, among other things, a grate surface that was enlarged to 3.0 m². A total of 99 pieces were delivered by the StEG locomotive factory , the Floridsdorf locomotive factory and the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik . The 106 series was used in the same way as the 6 series.
Simultaneously with the kkStB the Südbahn procured 27 pieces of the series 106. The machines delivered by the locomotive factory Floridsdorf, the locomotive factory of the StEG and the state machine factory Budapest were classified as 106.101-122 and 106.125-129 . The southern railway machines still had spring balance valves (Gölsdorf had already switched to pop valves at the kkStB) and were stationed in Marburg and Nagykanizsa .
After the First World War , 42 of them came to the BBÖ . 43 pieces made up the 264.1 series at ČSD . With the PKP eight pieces were classified as row Pd13 . The railways of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes ( JDŽ 104-001-019 ) received 19 pieces and the MÁV ( 224,301-309 ) received nine. The remaining machines were war losses or were eliminated before they were included in the series scheme of the various railway companies. The Deutsche Reichsbahn gave the 17 units taken over in 1938 the series designation 13.1 , but soon had them converted into preheating and washing systems. The ČSD withdrew its locomotives until 1946 . In 1951 and 1952 a total of three of the MÁV came to the ČSD again. The 106.87 came to the FS as 554.001 .
