Baby , Secret of the Lost Legend (Original title: Baby, Secret of the Lost Legend ) is an American fictional film from 1985 with Sean Young and William Katt in the lead roles. The film opened in German cinemas on May 24, 1985.

Dr. Eric Kiviat follows the trail of a brontosaur in the rainforests of West Africa . So he says to his protégé, Dr. Susan Matthews-Loomis, the bone you just discovered came from a giraffe and is hiding from her that it is actually a brontosaur bone; he does not even shrink from the murder of his colleague Etienne in order to get at his material.
When Susan treated a sick African, the latter told of the discovery of a dead being called " Mokele-Mbembe ", from whose flesh he and his friends got sick. Dr. To his displeasure, Kiviat learns that Susan and George are looking for the bones. Susan and George befriend the Aborigines. When Susan asks one of them about "Mokele-Mbembe", he reacts irritably; later the indigenous people disappeared. Susan and George hear strange noises for which they first seek conventional explanations; however, they are soon taught better when they see a brontosaur. It turns out that this brontosaur is one of two adult dinosaurs who will raise a cub together. Susan and George make friends with the dinosaur boy, which they will soon be nicknamed "Baby". Dr. Kiviat on; his soldiers kill the male brontosaur. When Dr. Kiviat and his people kidnap the dinosaur mother, Susan and George take care of the abandoned dinosaur baby. They try to free his mother, but are arrested by Kiviat's soldiers. Soon after, Dr. Kiviat locates the cub. George and Susan can escape and return to "Baby".
Nevertheless, Dr. Kiviat to take “baby” and start the journey home with the two dinosaurs. With the help of the natives, Susan and George ambush Dr. Kiviat's camp; they manage to free the two dinosaurs. Dr. Kiviat is killed by the mother; both dinosaurs can now live in peace in their homeland.
