The brook at the bottom of the lake is an approximately one and a half kilometers long left and west tributary of the Gersprenz .

The brook on the bottom of the lake rises at a height of about 255 m above sea level. NHN in the source Ratzenbrunnen in the Vorderen Odenwald , west of Pfaffen-Beerfurth in the municipality of Reichelsheim .
The stream is piped in the lower reaches and finally flows into the Brückenstraße in the locality Pfaffen-Beerfurth at an altitude of about 195 m above sea level. NHN from the left into the Gersprenz .
Its 1.5 km long run ends about 60 meters below its source, so it has an average bed gradient of about 40 ‰.
Area of influence
The influence area of the brook on the Seegrund lies in the Gersprenztal, a part of the Vorderen Odenwald, and is drained to the North Sea via the Gersprenz, the Main and the Rhine .
It borders
- in the south to that of the Mergbach , the left source stream of the Gersprenz
- in the west to that of the Mergbach tributary Eberbach
- and in the northwest to that of the Michelbach , a tributary of the Gersprenz.
The highest point is the 311.9 m high castle hill of Schloss_Reichenberg .
The area of influence in the area of the upper reaches is dominated by grassland and settlements dominate on the lower reaches.
