The brook von dem Kohl is a good one and a half kilometers long right and west tributary of the Laudenauer Bach .

The brook of the cabbage rises in the Odenwald at an altitude of 477 m above sea level. NHN west of Reichelsheim - Laudenau in the Kohlwiese south of Winterkastener Straße .
It initially flows through fields and meadows in a south-easterly direction along the border between the districts of Lindenfels - Winterkasten and Laudenau. On the southern edge of Laudenau it changes its direction eastwards, before it finally at an altitude of 312 m above sea level. NHN flows into the Laudenauer Bach south of the corner of Blumenstrasse and Gumpener Strasse .
Its 1.6 km long run ends about 165 meters below its source, so it has an average bottom gradient of about 10 ‰.
