Backyardigans: Mission to Mars is a steel roller coaster in Movie Park Germany , Bottrop-Kirchhellen , NRW . It is one of the first systems in Germany from the manufacturer Vekoma .
In the Rasti-Land in Salzhemmendorf , Lower Saxony, there is an identical installation called the roller coaster .
history
The track was first introduced to the public in 1996 as Coyote & Roadrunner's roller coaster . The cartoon series Road Runner was themed and equipped with an artificial mountain and cliffs. In 2005 the roller coaster was then called the Rocket Rider Rollercoaster , although the theme remained unchanged. In 2007, the most recent redesign took place with a change in the subject area and the name was changed to Backyardigans: Mission to Mars .
train
Initially, the train had rocket-shaped carriages that were supposed to be reminiscent of the Railroad Runner , the color was orange and red. In 2007, the trains were repainted to get a silver-orange paint. Two passengers fit into each carriage and a train consists of eight carriages, so one train can hold 16 people.
