The Rasti-Land in Salzhemmendorf is a theme park in the southern Lower Saxony on the edge of the Weserbergland . The park with an area of around 16 hectares has been family-owned since it opened in July 1973. Rasti country is open for an average of eight months a year.

history

Rasti-Land was founded in 1973 with an area of 12 hectares and initially four attractions, since then the park has been constantly expanded. Originally the park was a “New Western style” theme park with an Indian village, etc. Rasti-Land is derived from the Rasti building blocks. The park was initially seen as a recreational area and has continued to grow until then. The founders and still managing directors of Rasti-Land are Ludwig Ratzke and his son Steffen Ratzke . The architect and civil engineer Ludwig Ratzke was of the opinion that there were too few offers for children in this region and decided to build the Rasti-Land. The Rasti-Land was opened in the old gravel pit near Benstorf . As the park grew, so did the catchment area, so that in 2006 up to 300,000 guests visited the Rasti Land. The main attraction and at the same time the largest single investment with a total cost of around 2.85 million euros was the rafting track in the realm of the T-Rex, opened in 2002 and supplemented with a theme in 2003 .

The mascot of the Rasti country is Rasti .

Kids-Dinoworld

The Kids-Dinoworld , completed in 2006, is the second largest investment in Rasti-Land and includes Germany's first whitewater run in a hall. Kids-Dinoworld offers the possibility of year-round operation and thus the prospect of further increasing the number of visitors. Admission is charged separately for Kids-Dinoworld and Rasti-Land, because the adventure world is not part of Rasti-Land, but an addition. Admission is reduced directly after a visit to Rasti Land.

The second hall was opened in January 2017. There is an underground connection between the halls. In the new hall there is also a high ropes course, a black light mini golf course and a black light bowling alley. The largest single investment in the park is the Kids-Dinoworld second hall, which opened in 2017 ; the second hall cost just under 3.2 million euros.
