Badenermoor has been part of the Lower Saxon town of Achim in the Verden district since 1972 . 650 inhabitants live there (January 1, 2012) .

The street village of Badenermoor is located on the K 6 (= Roedenbeckstraße), which leads from Achim to Giersdorf-Schanzendorf. It was created in 1914 on the initiative of the then Achimer District Administrator Josua Roedenbeck .

history

After the district of Achim joined the Hanoverian non-profit settlement company in 1907 at the instigation of District Administrator Roedenbeck, a district meadow master builder was employed in 1909 to drain the Baden moor. The moor was measured in the summer of 1911. 63 new settlements were planned. During the First World War, the reclamation was also carried out by the inmates of a prisoner of war camp. The first settler settled in Badenermoor in 1915. An emergency school was inaugurated in June 1920 and a new one-class school building was built two years later. The settlement phase was concluded in 1922.

In 1932 permission was given to set up its own cemetery, and in 1952 a cemetery chapel was built. The settlement, which initially belonged to the Posthausen parish, was re-parished to the Baden parish in 1955.

Badenermoor has been part of the town of Achim since 1972.
