Bahattin Köse (born August 26, 1990 in Hamm ) is a Turkish football player who also has German citizenship.

Career

In the club

The Turkish football player grew up in Hamm , Westphalia , where he played for the TuS 1910 Wiescherhöfen district club . It was not until he was just 18 years old that he switched to the youth team of Rot Weiss Ahlen , where he quickly played his way into the U-19 core formation in the 2008/09 season.

The following year, after a bad start to the season, the second division team was dismissed and the interim coach Andreas Zimmermann brought several youth players into the team in the second round of the DFB Cup on September 22, 2009 . Despite the departure of the Ahlen team, Köse was able to convince as a striker and just three days later he made his second division debut over the full season. Shortly afterwards, he and two other young players got a professional contract until 2012.

After the descent of the Ahlen in the 3rd division , he was not considered in the 2010/11 season and was not used. On June 11, 2011, Arminia Bielefeld announced the commitment of Köse. But even there he came as a substitute in the 2011/12 season on only five missions. Then Köse moved to the Belgian club RAEC Mons .

In February 2014 Köse moved to the Turkish Süper Lig to Akhisar Belediyespor . For the second half of the 2014/15 season he was loaned to the second division Altınordu Izmir .

At the end of August 2015, he finally moved to third division Manisaspor on a free transfer . With this club he finished the TFF 2nd Lig as a champion and rose to the TFF 1st Lig . Köse was involved in this success with 13 league goals and was by far the most successful goalscorer of his team. Despite this successful debut at Manisaspor, Köse was unable to agree on a contract extension in the summer of 2016 with the end of his one-year contract with the club's management. So he left the club in mid-June 2016. Two months later, the two sides sat down again and this time agreed on an extension for another two years.

In the summer of 2017 he moved to the second division Adanaspor and one season later to the third division Samsunspor .

Youth national team

Through his professional appearances, the young player's attention was also drawn to Turkey and he was invited to a U-20 tournament in Turkmenistan in February 2010 . There he played in four of the five tournament games and was successful with two goals and two assists.

On August 5, 2011, Bahattin Köse was nominated for the U-21 national team of Azerbaijan .
