from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The overview of the train stations in Paderborn describes the existing and historical train stations and stops of the railway in the East Westphalian city of Paderborn .

There is only one central train station on the main Hamm – Warburg line , which runs straight through the city center. There are four further train stops on the line to Bielefeld ( Senne-Bahn ). They are listed below in the given order from Paderborn main station . A special feature is the AW Paderborn factory stop described below . The existing stations and stops are part of the area of the DB - regional network Münster-Ostwestfalen (MOW) and Zweckverband transport Westphalia-Lippe (NWL).

Paderborn Central Station

Paderborn Kasseler Tor stop

Kasseler Tor stop

The Paderborn Kasseler Tor stop ( Lage ) is on the Paderborn - Bielefeld line ( Senne-Bahn RB 74 ). It consists of just one platform on the Sennebahn track , right next to the double- track Hamm – Warburg line , two kilometers from the main train station. This track is also the connection to the Paderborn repair shop , the Benteler plant and Bad Lippspringe . The route is operated every half hour by the NordWestBahn to Bielefeld. The Kasseler Tor stop (official stop name: "Bahnhof Kasseler Tor") is served by the Pader Sprinter bus routes 61 and 68 as well as the bus routes 484, S85, 471, S30 and N3. The bus lines R31, R50, R51, 470 and S50 stop at the Am Kasseler Tor stop and bus lines 4 and 9 at the Kasseler Straße stop . The historic station building from 1907 based on plans by Alois Holtmeyer was demolished in 1976.

There are plans for a Rosentor stop in a more convenient location to the city center. This would be on the double-track main line between Kasseler Tor and the main train station and thus also enable trains from the direction of Altenbeken to stop . However, there are problems here with the capacity of the main route and the space requirements, especially in the case of an expansion of the traffic offers. The Kasseler Tor stop would then be omitted. According to the latest status, barrier-free modernization is planned for the existing stop.

Furthermore, a freight line branches off here to Marienloh , which previously led to Bad Lippspringe . There is a siding to the Benteler plant on the line .

The station has a total of 13 tracks. However, only three tracks (track 1, track 2 and track 4) are used for passenger traffic , as only these tracks have a platform . As a rule, however, the trains only stop at the platform on track 1 and 2, as this is where the train encounters take place. The PaderSprinter -lines 2 and 5 stop at the station. They also lead to Paderborn Central Station and Marienloh as well as Ingolstädter Weg.

Since the end of 2008 there has been a new stopping point in Neuhaus Castle between Schatenweg and Hatzfelder Straße ( Schloss Neuhaus Hp . Lage ). Due to land disputes, access from Hatzfelder Strasse has not yet been completed. That complicates u. a. changing to the Pader Sprinter bus line 11, which passes the stop. The stop on the single-track section is served by the regional train line RB 74 Bielefeld - Sennestadt - Paderborn (Senne-Bahn). In order to keep the timetable, every second train runs through during peak hours.

The former Schloss Neuhaus station is now only used as a siding for the Benteler Schloss Neuhaus steelworks.
