The Augsburg-Oberhausen train station is located in the Oberhausen district to the northwest of central Augsburg and is the most important train station in the city after the Augsburg main train station. The current station building was built in 1931/32 south of the old Oberhauser station in the New Objectivity style and is a listed building . The address of the station is Ulmer Straße 53. In front of the station building is Helmut-Haller- Platz with a large tram and bus stop.

Infrastructure

Augsburg-Oberhausen is a through station with seven tracks on four platforms. He is operationally seen no independent station, but a station Part of the Augsburg main station. Transport offer

Augsburg-Oberhausen station is served by all regional express trains and regional trains that leave Augsburg main station in the north and west or that serve it from north and west, with the exception of the Allgäu-Franken-Express . As a result, it serves as a transfer station from Ulm in the direction of Donauwörth and vice versa. The trains of the Bavarian Regiobahn in the direction of Schongau usually start or end in Augsburg-Oberhausen. Long-distance trains, however, do not serve the station.

The Oberhausen station is served by tram line 2 (Augsburg-West – Haunstetten-Nord), city bus line 35 (Bergstrasse – Pfersee-Süd), night bus line 91 (Königsplatz – Stadtbergen) and a number of regional bus routes. As a result, it also plays a major role as a transfer point for local public transport and is accordingly frequented during rush hour.
