The Feldberg-Bärental railway station is a station on the DreiSeenBahn east of Bärental , a district of Feldberg . With a height of 967 meters above sea level, it is the highest station in Germany on a standard-gauge line, and at the same time the highest of the Deutsche Bahn .
history
The Feldberg-Bärental station was put into operation at the same time as the Dreiseenbahn was opened on December 1, 1926. He gained fame through various broadcast in the 1980s consequences of the ZDF series Black Forest Clinic , where the reception building of the station can be seen.
In 2004 the exterior facade of the Feldberg-Bärental train station was renovated; In 2007 the roof was renewed and the characteristic tower with the station clock restored. In addition, digital passenger information systems have been installed that display current information.

Transport and operation
The Feldberg-Bärental station is served every hour by regional trains (RB) in the direction of Seebrugg and Freiburg via Titisee . A train crossing takes place at the double-track station . In the 2013 timetable the station will be served by 14 trains per day and direction.
Special steam trips by the IG 3-Seenbahn association occasionally serve the Feldberg-Bärental train station. Furthermore, regional bus lines from Südbadenbus stop at the station , which go to Schluchsee , Titisee-Neustadt , Zell im Wiesental and Todtnau .
The Feldberg-Bärental train station has no pedestrian overpass or underpass; in order to get from the house platform (track 2) to track 1, the tracks must be crossed at the same level. As a result, the station is classified as completely barrier-free by Deutsche Bahn .
