Ottrau station is a settlement of Ottrau in the Schwalm-Eder district in Hesse . It is located northeast of the core community on the district of the main town Ottrau.
Geographical location
The small street village is centrally located in the municipality of Ottrau, about 2 km northeast of Ottrau on the foothills of the Knüll Mountains . To the north of this is the Ottrau district of Schorbach , northeast Weißenborn , southeast Görzhain , southwest the core community, northwest Kleinropperhausen . The Grenff flows past directly to the east of the village and the Boßmühle . State road 3157 and county road 120 run through the settlement .
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1907, when the Knüllwaldbahn line was inaugurated. Passenger traffic ceased on June 1, 1984, freight traffic at the end of 1995.
