Bakugan - Player of Fate ( Japanese. 爆 丸 バ ト ル ブ ロ ー ラ ー ズ , Bakugan Batoru Burōrāzu , Bakugan for short ) is an anime television series that has a game as its theme. The game was released by Sega Toys in Japan. The series is directed by Mitsuo Hashimoto , who developed and produced the series with the animation studios Japan Vistec and TMS Entertainment based on an original concept from Sega Toys. The series can be classified into the genres of shōnen , action and science fiction .

action

In the year 2050, strange balls and cards will fall from the sky all over the world and will be picked up by many children and adults alike. It is later discovered by chance that these spheres, now called Bakugans, are living beings from a planetary system called Vestroia. Children from all over the world are starting to organize themselves over the Internet and fight fights with these Bakugans, not knowing that they are real living beings.

The twelve-year-old Dan Kuso, who lives in Kobe, finds a Pyrus-Bakugan named Dragonoid ("Drago") who can speak. Through Drago it comes to light that the Bakugans are real living beings and despise the way people treat them. After a few arguments, Dan and Drago become friends. The Bakugans of other children around Dan, Runos “Tigrerra” and Maruchos “Preyas”, can also speak. Together the three found the community of "Destiny Players", which Julie with "Gorem" and Shun with "Skyress" soon join.

Suddenly an evil Bakugan called Naga tries to take the Core of Tranquility, a huge ball of negative energy that, along with the positive core of Infinity, balances Vestroia. Dan and his friends manage to bring the two cores together and stabilize both the earth and Vestroia. The Bakugans then leave their owners to be there for their conspecifics in New Vestroia.

game

At the beginning of the game, a goal card is thrown. If the gate card touches the ground, it dissolves and creates a combat area of around 10 kilometers, which is called the inner card area. In addition, this gate card freezes the time in the outer card area and lets Bakugans mutate into their true forms. Furthermore, the goal card thrown by the player can also increase the G-Power of his Bakugan and change the rules in his favor.

Then you have to throw the Bakugan on the goal card. If two Bakugans land on the same goal card, a fight begins. Ability cards are used that can be used several times and give the respective Bakugan additional powers. If a Bakugan wins, the Bakugan's partner now owns the gate card on which the fight took place. The winner is the one who wins three goal cards first. Every Bakugan has a G-Power Level, which determines the power of the respective Bakugan.

Characters

Daniel (Dan) Kuso

Dan is a twelve year old boy who developed the game Bakugan with his friends. He is bright and has a lot of temperament and ambition. His dream is to become the world's best Bakugan player. At the beginning he doesn't get along very well with Drago, but after some difficulties Dan is accepted by Drago and the two become a team. Dan used to only play Bakugan with Kraft, but with Drago's help he now plays with a strategy. His signature feature is the sunglasses that Dan always wears during the day, pushed up into his hair.

Shun Kazami

Thirteen-year-old Shun is Dan's best friend. When his mother comes to the hospital and he has to move in with his grandfather, he is no longer allowed to play Bakugan. Shuns Bakugan is Skyress. He will also be trained as a ninja throughout history. He is the most calm and withdrawn character in the story, but that changes over the course of the series. He has long, black hair that is tied in a braid at the nape of the neck (similar to that of the anime samurai). However, after the series ends, he no longer has this braid.

Marucho Maruko

Eleven-year-old Marucho is a rich boy who moves to Dan's neighborhood after a while. He too is a gambler of fate, his Bakugan is Preyas. Marucho is particularly strategic when playing Bakugan. In the past he often bowed to the will of others, which over time became a great burden for him. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Runo Misaki

Because of her quick-tempered temper, she bears a characteristic resemblance to Dan and unconsciously harbors feelings for him. Her hair color is light blue and her eye color is green. Her hair color is silver and her eyes are dark blue. It also appears less and less in the 3 following series.

Alice Aldrin / Masquerade

Like the others, twelve-year-old Alice is one of the fate players, but does not play Bakugan herself. However, she is an excellent Bakugan strategist. Your grandfather Michael is a famous scientist. When Alice visited her grandfather in the laboratory, one of his inventions ensured that the negative energy from Verstroia was brought to earth. This also affected Alice and her grandfather as both were exposed to the negative energy. Then Michael became Hal-G, and Alice got a second personality: Masquerade.
