Balázs Megyeri (born March 31, 1990 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian football goalkeeper who is currently under contract with Atromitos Athens .

Career

The 1.88 meter tall goalkeeper began his career in 2005 at Ferencváros Budapest . After only a short stint at Bristol City (2007/08 season), he returned to Budapest. In the summer of 2009, Balázs Megyeri was targeted by Hertha BSC , but ultimately did not change. In the summer of 2010 he signed a three-year contract with the Greek series champion Olympiacos Piraeus. The transfer fee was 300,000 euros . Balázs Megyeri was on December 14, 2010 in the "game against poverty" for the first time in the goal of Olympiacos. He made his league debut on April 3, 2011 against AO Kavala . Piraeus won 3-1. In total, Megyeri came to three missions. Megyeri was, behind the Argentine goalkeeper, Franco Costanzo , the number two at Olympiacos. On November 1, 2011, the keeper celebrated his Champions League debut against Borussia Dortmund . Dortmund won 1-0 in front of their home crowd.

After five successful years, five championships and three cup wins, Megyeri left the Greek record champions at the end of the 2014/15 season and joined the Spanish first division club Getafe . In the 2015/16 season , in which he was relegated to the Segunda División with Getafe , he did not appear in the league.

For the 2016/17 season he moved to the German second division club SpVgg Greuther Fürth , where he received a two-year contract.
