Miko Balasz , Hungarian Mikó Balázs (born March 5, 1980 ) is a Hungarian pool player .

Career

In March 2007, Mikó Balász reached the quarter-finals in the 14/1 endless at the European Championships , but was eliminated there against the Austrian Martin Kempter . Three months later he came in 17th place at the 14/1 Endless World Championship . In 2011 Balasz reached the finals twice on the Euro Tour , but was eliminated in the sixteenth finals at both the Austria Open and the Treviso Open . At the Italy Open 2012 he made it to the quarter-finals, where he lost 7: 8 to the Dutchman Nick van den Berg . In 2013 he was eliminated from the Austria Open and the Bosnia & Herzegovina Open in the sixteenth finals. At the 2014 European Championship , Balasz came in 33rd place in 9-ball .

Balasz has participated in the World Cup of Pool four times so far . He was eliminated in the first round in 2006 and 2007 together with Vilmos Földes . In 2012 and 2013 he formed the Hungarian team together with Gabor Solymosi , which reached the quarter-finals in 2013 after another first-round loss. There followed, however, a 1: 9 defeat against eventual tournament winners Lee Van Corteza and Dennis Orcollo .

Balasz currently lives in Tata .
