The Star Ball was a benefit gala organized by the private radio station Radio Regenbogen in Mannheim's rose garden .

history

The idea for the “Star Ball” developed in 1990. Since the first “Star Ball” in 1990, the social event in southwest Germany has brought around two and a half thousand people together in a stylish atmosphere once a year in October for the benefit of charitable organizations. Since 2006, the event has also been presented promptly on the Internet.

The namesake of the ball were a team of chefs from star restaurants . Among others, Paul Bocuse , Harald Wohlfahrt , Johann Lafer , Peter Nöthel and Manfred Schwarz cooked for the guests. The proceeds of the ball , the music scene occurring in the international top stars, come -profit institutions from the Rhine-Neckar region and the Board of Trustees CNS - Hannelore Kohl Foundation benefit. The proceeds from the 2009 anniversary ball went to the Hospice Agape.

In 2010, the stars' ball went up in the donation gala A Helping Hand , which was under the patronage of Stephanie zu Guttenberg . This event was not continued after 2011 because of the high rental costs in the rose garden.
