Barania-Kamm (Polish: Pasmo Baraniej), also called Vistula-Kamm (Polish: Pasmo Wiślane), is the largest and highest mountain ridge in the Polish part of the Silesian Beskids . The eponymous Barania Góra is the second highest mountain in the ridge. The Vistula rises on its western slopes. The historical border between Silesia and Lesser Poland partially ran through the ridge

geography

The ridge is located between the valleys of the mountain rivers of the Vistula in the west and Olsa in the southwest and the Biała and Soła in the east. The border between the districts of Powiat Bielski and Powiat Cieszyński runs over the ridge . The peaks up to approx. 1250 m above sea level include the Skrzyczne ( 1257  m ), Barania Góra ( 1220  m ), Małe Skrzyczne ( 1211  m ), Wierch Wisełka ( 1192  m ), Równiański Wierch ( 1160  m ), Zielony Brille ( 1152  m ), Malinowska Skała ( 1152  m ), Magurka Wiślańska ( 1129  m ), Przysłop ( 1029  m ), Jaworzyna ( 1020  m ), Ostre ( 930  m ), Skalite ( 864  m ), Kubalonka ( 830  m ), Beskidek ( 830  m ), Góra Zabawa ( 823  m ), Mała Cisowa ( 828  m ), Szarcula ( 803  m ), Kołowrót ( 798  m ), Motykowa Górka ( 792  m ), Filipionki ( 779  m ), Kozińce ( 776  m ), Niesłychany Groń ( 744  m ), Zadni Groń ( 728  m ), Górna Równia ( 676  m ), Mała Barania ( 659  m ) and Równia ( 610  m )

The ridge is heavily forested. Originally, mixed forests with beech and fir trees dominated; at present, beech and spruce are the most common. Marked hiking trails from Bielsko-Biała , Brenna Szczyrk , Wisła , Koniaków and Istebna lead to the ridge .
