Barry Thomas

Barry Thomas ( June 8, 1932 - October 4, 2017 in Sandpoint , Idaho ) was a sound engineer and sound engineer .

Life

Thomas began his career in the film staff in 1958, initially as a cable assistant , later he was a sound assistant , before working for the first time in 1967 as a sound mixer for television. He switched between film and television in the course of his career; he had a hand in television series such as The Invaders , Little House and Melrose Place , on the other hand, to Hollywood - blockbusters such as American Gigolo , Witness and Rocky V .

1979 he was responsible for Terrence Malick's drama Days of Heaven along with John Wilkinson , Robert W. Glass Jr. and John T. Reitz for the Oscar in the category Best Sound nominated, but the award went this year to Michael Cimino's anti-war film The go through hell .
