The Barthe is a small river in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and has a length of 34.75 km. It rises in Borgwallsee near Stralsund in Western Pomerania , then flows west to Altenhagen , from where it flows north to the town of Barth , where it flows into the Barther Bodden . The last piece is also known as the Barther Strom . The river is a widely used water hiking and fishing area .
The catchment area of the river has a size of 292 km².
