Barucco Consort on original instruments

The Barucco Consort on original instruments is an Austrian orchestra that presents its performances in historically informed performance practice .

The orchestra was founded in 2002 by the oboist Andreas Helm and the choir director Heinz Ferlesch , who is still its artistic director. The aim of the orchestra is to approximate the tonal character of the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. Barucco does not have a permanent home, but is guest at the following institutions:

The ensemble also performed numerous oratorical works, including with the Ad Libitum choir and the Vienna Singing Academy .
