Hermine Haselböck

Hermine Haselböck (born March 7, 1967 in Melk , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian mezzo-soprano .

Life

After graduating from the Stiftsgymnasium Melk, Hermine Haselböck received her vocal training from Rita Streich , Hartmut Krones , Marjana Lipovšek , Christa Ludwig and Brigitte Fassbaender . She was discovered as a Mercedes in Nikolaus Harnoncourt's Carmen production at styriarte 2005.

This was soon followed by two incarnations of trouser roles , in 2006 as Hansel in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel in the Vienna Volksoper and in 2009 as Ramiro in Mozart's Gärtnerin aus Liebe by Joji Hattori in the New National Opera Tokyo. She made her debut in 2009 as Magdalene in Richard Wagner's Meistersinger von Nürnberg , in 2012 as Brangäne in Tristan und Isolde , in 2013 as Azucena in Giuseppe Verdi's Il trovatore at the Tyrolean Festival in Erl and as Gertrud / mother in Hansel and Gretel at the Graz Opera . In 2013 she sang Flosshilde in Wagner's Rheingold for the first time at the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome. and 2015 in Hong Kong. In 2014 she made role debuts as Fricka in Wagner's Das Rheingold and Die Walküre at the Tyrolean Festival , in 2015 she appeared as Fricka in the first staged performance of Rheingold and Walküre in Beijing and Shanghai , and in 2016 she embodied the daughter in Ella Milch-Sheriff Baruch's Silence at the EntarteOpera festival , Vienna.

Haselböck worked a. a. with the conductors Bertrand de Billy , Jean-Claude Casadesus , Vladimir Fedoseyev , Gustav Kuhn , Fabio Luisi , Christopher Molds , Franz Welser-Möst , Kirill Petrenko , Martin Sieghart , Jean-Christophe Spinosi , Christian Thielemann and Jaap van Zweden as well as with orchestras such as Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra , Budapest Philharmonic , Dresden Philharmonic , Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra , L'Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia , MDR Symphony Orchestra , Orchester National de Lille , RSO Vienna , Munich Philharmonic , Vienna Court Orchestra and the Vienna Symphony .

As a song and concert singer she performed a. a. in the Carnegie Hall in New York City, in the Wiener Konzerthaus , in the Wiener Musikverein , Mozarteum Salzburg , Concertgebouw Amsterdam , in the Frauenkirche Dresden , Musée d'Orsay , Paris, in the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, and at the Haydn Festival in Eisenstadt .

It can also be heard on several CDs.

Hermine Haselböck has been a visiting professor for solo singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz since March 2017.

Awards

  • Her debut CD with “Songs by Alexander Zemlinsky ” was awarded the International Prize of the Zemlinsky Foundation and the Ö1 Pasticcio Prize .
  • Her CD Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen , Kindertotenlieder , Rückert-Lieder by Gustav Mahler with Russell Ryan, piano, 2011: BRIDGE 9341 was awarded the SUPER SONIC Classic music award of the PIZZICATO magazine in Luxembourg in 2014.
