Bastian Roscheck (born February 24, 1991 in Krefeld ) is a German handball player who plays for SC DHfK Leipzig .

Career

society

Roscheck, who was born in Krefeld, played for the TV Oppum until he was B-youth . He then moved to the A-youth team of the then HSG Düsseldorf and with them became champion in the A-youth Bundesliga in 2010 .

He then moved to OSC 04 Rheinhausen , which was playing in the 2nd handball Bundesliga at the time .

Roscheck has been playing at SC DHfK Leipzig since the 2013/14 season. There he injured his shoulder badly, which meant a long break for him. To get fit again, he worked with Lars Lienhard in the field of neuroathletic training . Through this therapy, the injury-prone player became a seasoned Bundesliga professional and the Leipzig chief of defense. In the 2016/17 season he extended his contract with Leipzig until 2019.

National team

For the European Championship 2018 he was appointed to the 20-man squad by national coach Christian Prokop , who did the preparation. On January 5, 2018, he made his debut in the 36:29 test match win against Iceland . He scored his first goal for the national team in the second international match, a friendly against Iceland. On January 7th he was appointed to the final 16-man squad for the European Championship 2018, but after two games he was swapped for the later nominated Finn Lemke .

He has completed four international matches in which he scored one goal.
