Lukas Binder (born June 30, 1992 in Leipzig ) is a German handball player who is under contract with the German Bundesliga club SC DHfK Leipzig .

Career

Lukas Binder joined the youth team of SG LVB Leipzig through his grandfather's sporting education . Among other things, he was invited to courses for the youth national team by the German Handball Federation (DHB). In 2008 he moved to SC DHfK Leipzig . While Binder was in the A youth team in his first year at SC DHfK, he made the leap into the league team at the age of 17, with which he won the Saxony championship and was promoted to the third division . In the 2009/10 season he was champions in the league .

In 2010, Binder signed a three-year contract with SC DHfK Leipzig. In the following season, Leipzig won the third division title and rose to the 2nd Bundesliga , where Uwe Jungandreas took over the position of head coach. From the 2013/14 season , Christian Prokop took over as head coach of the Bundesliga team of SC DHfK Leipzig. From November 2014 to 2016 Binder was the captain of the 1st team with which he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2015. In the promotion season, the winger scored 158 goals (excluding 7 meters). In the 2015/16 season, the first division climber with Binder reached 11th place in the table. In October 2016, the SC DHfK Leipzig extended the joint contract with Lukas Binder until 2020. In December 2016, Binder was elected to the All Star Team 2017 by the Bundesliga coaches.
